Optimal Health and Aesthetics

Anti-Aging Medicine is the goal of medicine in the 21st century.  My mission as an anti-aging physician is to eliminate preventable diseases that accelerate our aging process.  These diseases, like heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis, not only shorten our lifespan, but also steal our vitality and diminish the quality of our lives.  In conventional medicine, the doctor usually does not see the patient until disease has already taken hold, and then may only be able to manage symptoms, not cure the disease.  In Anti-Aging Medicine, risk factors, genetic predispositions, nutritional deficiencies, unhealthy behaviors, and subclinical disease (meaning disease that is present, but not yet severe enough to cause symptoms) are identified.  Through hormonal balancing, specific supplementation, nutrition as medicine, and new behaviors, much disease can be prevented, some disease can be reversed, and the vitality that makes life a joy to live can be restored.

Medical aesthetics is a branch of Anti-Aging Medicine. Botox, facial fillers, prescription topical medications, and laser treatments can change those outward signs of aging that may not reflect the vital, youthful attitude of the person inside.  Few of us would want to return to our youth, but we do want to look youthful, radiant, and natural.  We want to have confidence in our appearance.  Medical aesthetics makes this possible without the drastic, invasive surgical procedures of old.
